Dr. Lingertat has served as a Director on the Board at RISSE since 2020 where she also serves as the Chair of the Personnel Committee. Professionally, Dr. Lingertat specializes in grief and loss in children and adolescents with an expertise in trauma informed schools. Dr. Lingertat regularly consults with schools and businesses on issues related to these topics as well as unconscious bias, instructional equity and diversity issues. She worked as a professor in the Counseling department at The College of Saint Rose from 2003-2024; for twelve of those years she served as department chair. Dr. Lingertat is also a Certified Forest Therapy Guide and works in partnership with the more than human world to help humans connect with themselves and the natural world.
