Dick McGrath is a lifelong resident of the Capital District. He spent a long career in local business as president of Albany Theatre Supply Co. Throughout his career, Dick has been involved in the issues of homelessness, alcoholism, and refugee resettlement.
Dick served on the boards of DePaul Residence, St John's Project Lift, and Homeless and Travelers Aid (HATAS). He also volunteered as a ski instructor for special needs kids at Double H Ranch in Lake Luzerne. In 2021, Dick was a recipient of the Jefferson Foundation Award as a Capital District Volunteer of the Year, having been nominated by the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants. He enjoys extensive travel to many parts of the world.
